Thank you for your interest in and support of the UAChoirs. Our department serves hundreds of students and community members through 10 choral ensembles, two dozen concerts each year, and countless activities. Support of the choirs funds student scholarships and other activities of the department. Read below to learn more about ways you can help. Questions? Send a note to UA’s director of choral activities, Dr. Miguel Ángel Felipe.
Choral Department Fund
Gifts to this fund support the broad work of the UAChoirs. Gifts support scholarships, the choral library, hiring instrumentalists, recordings, etc. Gifts are unrestricted and are spent directly.
Bruce Chamberlain Choral Endowment
Proceeds from this endowment support scholarships for graduate students in UA’s reknowned choral conducting program. The fund is named after Dr. Bruce Chamberlain, UA’s director of choral activities from 2000–2018. Dr. Chamberlain was a tireless advocate for his conducting students and they carry on his legacy today, working as professors and conductors around the nation and world. Gifts to this fund remain in perpetuity and only interest is spent.
University Community Chorus Endowment
Proceeds from this endowment become scholarship for music education students with a choral emphasis. This endowment was begun from the membership of the University Community Chorus in 2017. Gifts to this fund remain in perpetuity and only interest is spent.
A message from UA’s President Robbins
This video profiles the far-reaching impact of the Arch and Laura Brown Scholarship program, which provides up to $500 a year to pay for expenses like books, lab costs, academic travel and other necessities. Their gift, like yours, can have a lasting positive impact that helps students in ways we can hardly imagine. Consider “paying it forward” by supporting the next UA student who participates in the UAChoirs.
